Traditional haiku consist of 17 'on' [syllables] in three phrases of 5, 7 and 5 'on' respectively.
A fourth grade class in the U.S., after an overly long explanation of this ancient Japanese form of poetry, with numerous examples, were asked to form haiku of their own.
Well, this one certainly conforms to the required 5-7-5 pattern.
