The U.S. has reason to celebrate. We all do in that the entire world has reason to celebrate. Barack Obama's impressive victory says a lot about hope and looking to the future. Because tonight voters there decided that they didn't want to look back. They decided that they wanted to step into the future. And they turned out in unprecedented numbers to make sure that no amount of scrubbed rolls, malfunctioning machines, endless lines, or polling places running out of ballots would block the way.
Tonight's victory proclaims the end of the dark years of the Bush regression. Obama's victory speech was inspiring and eloquent, as befitting a President of the U.S.
This is only the first step from a long and difficult journey. I hope president Obama can manage the task so that, when his time to step down from the presidential position will come, not only the Americans but also the rest of the world will thank him. We do live in an exciting and interesting world, don't you think?
