"Your last chance to see a blue moon until 2015 will come around this Friday (Aug. 31), but don't expect an azure hue in the sky.
In fact, "blue moon" refers not to color, but to rarity. Blue moons are defined as either the fourth full moon in a season, or, more recently, as the second full moon in a month. It's the second definition that covers August's blue moon; the month's first full moon was on Aug. 1.
Blue moons happen because our calendar months don't precisely sync with the moon's orbit. It takes the moon 29.5 days to wax and wane from full to new to full again. With the exception of February, months are longer than that, meaning that once in a while the timing works out so there are two full moons in one month."
Traditional haiku consist of 17 'on' [syllables] in three phrases of 5, 7 and 5 'on' respectively.
A fourth grade class in the U.S., after an overly long explanation of this ancient Japanese form of poetry, with numerous examples, were asked to form haiku of their own.
Well, this one certainly conforms to the required 5-7-5 pattern.
At only 264 pages 'Alien Log' [available in paperback or Kindle editions] is a fast, well constructed, science based SF novel. Though I kept asking myself if it were really just a novel, or perhaps actual fact cloaked as fiction.
"Meticulously scientific, well researched novel of the case for Intelligent Life in the Universe, and particularly covering UFOs and "Aliens" and their probable origin and purpose in communicating, interacting and dealing with humankind. It is a delightful read for anyone interested at all in these compelling subjects. It also has an extensive bibliography, to help you extend your own research into these subjects. The fiction is very well handled and dialog between characters helps to enrich the novel with the science behind it." [Barbara L. Lindquist]
CBN News wonders if prayer moved Isaac away from Tampa to guard Republican delegates. so Rev. Justin Peters of the 'Pray Tampa Bay Team' explains all. Are these idiots at all aware of the nonsense they are spouting?
Pertinent comment: "So, they prayed to save themselves and for their God to send the storm on to hit some other city instead? Seems like a very Christian thing to do."
"When Tyler Clementi told his parents he was gay, two days before he left for Rutgers University in the fall of 2010, he said he had known since middle school.
“So he did have a side that he didn’t open up to us, obviously,” his mother, Jane Clementi, said, sitting in her kitchen here nearly two years later. “That was one of the things that hurt me the most, that he was hiding something so much. Because I thought we had a pretty open relationship.”
In her surprise, she had peppered him with questions: “How do you know? Who are you going to talk to? Who are you going to tell?” Tyler told a friend that the conversation had not gone well. His father had been “very accepting,” he wrote in a text message. “Mom has basically completely rejected me.”
Three weeks later, he jumped off the George Washington Bridge after discovering that his roommate had used a webcam to spy on him having sex and that he had sent out Twitter messages encouraging others to watch.
An international spotlight turned the episode into a cautionary coming-out story, of a young man struggling with his sexuality and the damage inflicted by bullying. . . . . "
It is unfortunate that the Climenti's were not aware of the 2009 TV film, "Prayers For Bobby". The true story of Mary Griffith, gay rights crusader, whose teenage son committed suicide due to her religious intolerance. Perhaps it might have made a difference . . . .
"The Book of Abraham is a 1835 work produced by Joseph Smith that he said was based on Egyptian papyri purchased from a traveling mummy exhibition. According to Smith, the book was "a translation of some ancient records ... purporting to be the writings of Abraham, while he was in Egypt, called the Book of Abraham, written by his own hand, upon papyrus". Smith's translation of the papyri describes a story of Abraham's early life, including a vision of the cosmos.
The work was canonized in 1880 by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) as part of its "Pearl of Great Price". Thus, it forms a doctrinal foundation for the LDS Church . . . . . " [Wikipedia]
Egyptologists and contemporary historical researchers are in agreement that Joseph Smith's 'translation of the papyri' was nothing more than a fantasy and fabrication. And if his 'translation' of the 'Lost Book of Abraham' is a fake, what does that say about his transcription of the 'Golden Plates' which became the 'Booki of Mormon'. The Book of Mormon insists that all native Amerindians [American Indians and Mesoamerican groups] are the 'lost tribes of Israel', the Lamanites and Nephites. Contemporary scientific DNA testing has shown the Amerindians came from Siberia via the Bering Strait, NOT from Israel.
Sorry, my Morman friends, but it would appear that your 'Prophet' was a fake.
The Lost Book of Abraham [Video]
"The Lost Book of Abraham is an award-winning documentary that investigates the remarkable claim that Mormon founder Joseph Smith translated a lost book of scripture from an Egyptian papyrus scroll he obtained in 1835. Hear the views of Mormon believers and World-class Egyptologists and decide for yourself."
The New Yorker has published a quite objective article, albeit rather lengthy, on the history of the Mormon church [of presidental hopeful Mitt Romney]. A rather bumpy ride for all concerned, especially when the LDS founder, Joseph Smith, was a consumate lier, cheat, more than questionable translator and well known confidence man. But in his defense, he did have a very active imagination, as attested to by his invention of 'The Book Of Mormon'.
"Stereotypes and pigeonholes can, in a stable multiethnic society, act as sanctuaries as much as cells. In the heyday of urban ethnic immigration, even anti-Semites allowed that Jews were good at selling drygoods and producing movies, just as Irish Catholics were known to keep a good saloon and walk a decent beat. The ugliest of these pigeonholes suggests a comparative advantage, anyway: to be thought to tap-dance well implies that you can, at least, do that.
American Mormons, in this sense, seem to have been rather flatteringly typed. The Mormon executives and advisers around Howard Hughes were famous for their probity, their clean living, and their loyalty. As with the blond Scandinavian bodyguards who attended the Byzantine emperors, their uprightness was all the more starkly evidenced by the shiftiness of the guy they were protecting. The details of their religious views had nothing to do with the social role they played. The Osmond family was the Mormon family: too many kids and too many teeth, maybe, but always solid, always smiling, always temperate—no alcohol, no tobacco, not even caffeine. In an entertaining new autobiography, “The Book of Mormon Girl: A Memoir of an American Faith” (Free Press), Joanna Brooks recalls ecumenical birthday parties as a young Mormon in California, and the anxiety she felt about simply seeing a bottle of Coke; Mormon parties featured (non-caffeinated) root beer. Nor were the Osmonds an outsider’s image: to this growing girl’s self-conception, the Book of Marie—“Marie Osmond’s Guide to Beauty, Health & Style”—seemed far more important than the Book of Mormon. Be perfect even as Marie on television is perfect, and you will be happy. ......
Mark Twain read the Book of Mormon and, knowing what Smith would have read, not to mention knowing about frontier fakery, came to conclusions about both the sources of its prose and the sequence of its composition:
The book seems to be merely a prosy detail of imaginary history, with the Old Testament for a model; followed by a tedious plagiarism of the New Testament. The author labored to give his words and phrases the quaint, old-fashioned sound and structure of our King James’s translation of the Scriptures; and the result is a mongrel—half modern glibness, and half ancient simplicity and gravity. The latter is awkward and constrained; the former natural, but grotesque by the contrast. Whenever he found his speech growing too modern—which was about every sentence or two—he ladled in a few such Scriptural phrases as “exceeding sore,” “and it came to pass,” etc., and made things satisfactory again. “And it came to pass” was his pet. If he had left that out, his Bible would have been only a pamphlet."
“Why in the World are They Spraying?” is an investigative documentary into one of the many agendas associated with chemtrail/geoengineering programs, also known as “weather control”.
"People around the world are noticing that our planet's weather is dramatically changing. They are also beginning to notice the long lingering trails left behind airplanes that have lead millions to accept the reality of chemtrail/geoengineering programs. Could there be a connection between the trails and our severe weather? While there are many agendas associated with these damaging programs, evidence is now abundant which proves that geoengineering can be used to control weather. In this documentary you will learn how the aerosols being sprayed into our sky are used in conjunction with other technologies to control our weather. While geoengineers maintain that their models are only for the mitigation of global warming, it is now clear that they can be used as a way to consolidate an enormous amount of both monetary and political power into the hands of a few by the leverage that weather control gives certain corporations over the Earth's natural systems. This of course, is being done at the expense of every living thing on the planet."
Geo-engineering has been going on since the 1800′s, but usage went up in the 1940s and 1950s for warfare amplification; Is it really cooling the Earth or heating it? Global dimming; Aluminum, barium, strontium in your air, water and soil (and lungs); Project Popeye during Vietnam; HAARP and chemtrails; what about the ban treaty? loopholes; we have corporatization of our weather today; who profits; why create drought? Who benefits? Monsanto & Wall Street; “weather being traded as derivatives”; every commodity is driven by weather; Problem-reaction-solution; Monsanto & Bill Gates; Agenda 21; George Soros buying up farmland for pennies on the dollar; sterilizing our soil; Monsanto’s “abiotic” seeds; disaster capitalists; power as an addiction; good people vs. sociopaths; snow and rainwater are highly toxic; changing the jet stream; shredding the ozone layer; wildfires; It’s our planet we must exercise our authority and make them stop. This film is a must, you can order it and make as many copies as you like to educate others.
"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, January 17, 1961
From the information in this film, it becomes evident that the U.S. "Military/Industrial complex" is now running the show, and in the process destroying the entire planet, all because of their insatiable lust for money and power.
Since the late 50's the subject of an alien invasion as been the fodder for countless film and TV productions. Most people, and Americans especially, enjoy scaring the bejessus out of themselves. Even the evening news broadcasts get in on the entertainment value with the latest 'UFO' nonsense. A recent feature on the Discovery Channel was 'Alien Invasion, after a simiilar 'alien invasion' program aired on the National Geographic Channel. Neither was very convincing, but no doubt appealed to the general populace.
"After watching this movie, it is very clear, what will follow in upcoming months in near future. Be prepared. Stay awake."
Alien Invasion - [Propaganda Movie 01]
.
. "At some point in the near future there will be an "Alien" attack against Earth. Expect massive casualties and devastation. Also, know that this attack will actually be a HOAX and will in fact be controlled by humans. When this madness begins all major cities around the world will be attacked.
I suspect the doomsday 2012 theories are part of this plan. They are part of a disinformation campaign to put people into panic mode. The idea is to generate enough fear so that we will be expecting SOMETHING bad to happen.
"We are also morally obliged to warn you of an existing highly secretive plan to use advanced technologies to hoax an 'alien attack' on Earth. There exists within the direct control of this Majestic group assets capable of launching such a false flag operation and virtually every person on Earth, as well as most leaders, would be deceived by it."
